Up For Bidding: Presenting a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona (Ref. #6239) men's wristwatch from approximately 1966. The Daytona 6239 marks the dawn of an icon, born in the 1960s when motorsport was king and precision timing was everything. It was the first Rolex chronograph to bear the "Daytona" name, cementing its legacy on the wrists of racers and risk-takers alike. With Paul Newman's famous association still echoing through time, this watch isn't just a timepiece - it's a piece of history. This Swiss-made timepiece will have a 36mm stainless steel oyster case with a screw-down crown, pushers for the chronograph, and a tachymeter bezel. A silver dial features twelve-hour timekeeping with baton hands, stick indices, two sub-dials for the chronograph, a seconds sub-dial, and an outer minute track, all protected by an acrylic crystal.
